The Shoten Crystal (症天クリスタル Shōten Kurisutaru) is an extremely powerful gemstone originally from Eilaela. It was later rediscovered by Archie the Fox.
Description
Powers and Traits
The crystal has a unique ability to combine with and amplify the power of a variety of other gemstones, such as the Sol Emeralds. As such it can also combine with the Infinity Stones, though they did not coexist in in the Vultroverse until the events of Story:Vultro and the Spider-Women.
It is assumed they can also connect with the Chaos Emeralds, but there is no record of this having ever occurred.
Its power was created on Eilaela over a thousand years ago by Thaulon the Fox. She enchanted the crystal to give its wielder an incredible power, but only if they also possessed her clan's family lineage. If the user had desired to use its power out of greed or malice, the crystal would slowly corrupt their soul.
When it was eventually brought to Earth in the following centuries, its abilities were lost to time, and it became buried in the caves of South Island.

Etymology
The crystal was for many years not named, due to Archmund not knowing the true power it contained.
Its current name was given by Obelus, and comes from the Japanese 症 (Shō), meaning disease, And 天 (Ten), meaning imperial or heavenly. Together the literal translation is "Imperial Disease Crystal." After studying its nature, Obelus chose this name to represent the corrupting power that it gives the wielder, not knowing that it was his greed and motivation that had caused such an effect.
