His father, Simon Kingsley, is the head of an international criminal organization called the Council, and his mother, Elaine Elton-Kingsley, is a famous archaeologist. As a boy, he was a huge fan of actor Tobey Maguire, and kept a photo of him at the Grand Canyon on his wall. He delivered pizzas as a teenager to help pay for his college education.
