Mary Jane Watson (メリー・ジェーン・ワトソン Meri Jen Watoson), later known by her anti-hero name Bloody Mary, is a character in Marvel comics and Sam Raimi's Spider-Man film series. She obtains spider-like powers in Spider-Man: The Other Chronicles after being bit by a radioactive vampire spider. This version of the character was created entirely by AI Dungeon, by asking it for various details.
In the films, she is portrayed by Kirsten Dunst.
History
The AI has stated that this version of Watson is from the same universe as the Raimi films, and thus her backstory up until present is considered to be the same as the canon character.
Bloody Mary
Sometime after the events of Spider-Man 3, Mary Jane Watson and Peter Parker broke up. In the year 2021, Watson is now working as an acting teacher in between gigs. She is also living with her now best friend and roommate, Felicia Hardy. While at Felicia's apartment, Mary Jane gets bit by a radioactive spider. This gives her spider-like powers, like her former boyfriend Peter.
When Felicia is killed by the raccoon accountant Boring John, Mary Jane seeks revenge. She learns the Boring John is just a pawn being controlled by The Face, an evil plastic surgeon. The Face is planning on killing all celebrities and taking their places, already having killed the lead singer of the band Crave.
Unlike Spider-Man, the effects of the spider bite seem to corrupt her moral judgement, at first making her more of an anti-hero. She seeks revenge against The Face and Boring John, without any reservations about using violence against them.
Powers & Abilities
- Super Strength: Bloody Mary has the proportional strength of a spider, giving her superhuman strength.
- Cornea Impermeability: Bloody Mary's eyes are covered with a membrane, protecting them from harsh substances.
- Bloody Webbing: Bloody Mary has the ability to shoot webbing from her wrists. Unlike Peter Parker, her webs are colored blood red.
- Wall-Crawling: Bloody Mary can crawl on walls with her hands and feet.
- Spider-Sense: Bloody Mary has a sixth sense, telling her when she was in danger.
