Archmund "Archie" the Fox (アーチー・ザ・フォックス Aachii za Fokkusu) is a fennec fox and great-grandfather to Vultro the Fox. He was a well-known blacksmith and adventurer of his time, being the first to uncover the Shoten Crystal during a mining expedition on Westside Island.

The Great Solar Storm
Despite being born in the far future compared to the real world, an extreme solar storm about 5 years prior to Archie's birth caused a massive loss in collective knowledge and data. Any technology that was not already fried by the storm would slowly break as the infrastructure no longer existed to easily repair them. With gasoline and other fossil fuels long being depleted, and without the infrastructure to construct or repair renewable energy farms, the world shifted to using steam power as it struggled to rebuild.
There was a wide need for skilled trade workers in the coming decades, leading Archie to learn blacksmithing starting in his early teens. This would eventually become his profession, though he also led mining expeditions and studied old technology as a hobby. His lifetime goal was to create a steam-powered computer, which he saw as a necessity for the re-establishment of a variety of technologies.
After being brought to the far future by his great-grandson, he asked to spend some time studying the incredibly advanced technology of the time. Though he was unable to comprehend many of the advancements in computing and electronics, he spent quite some time studying steam power. By the time he had to return to his own time period, he had managed to create a set of steampunk battle armor that he kept as a souvenir.
Sylvie Summers also sent him back with a rudimentary solar powered communicator, telling him to study it and reverse engineer it. What became of this is unknown, though it likely helped in achieving Archie's life goal of re-establishing computing technology.

Abilities
- Smithing: He is a highly skilled blacksmith, able to craft everything from intricate armor to powerful weapons.
- Navigation & Survival: Being a seasoned adventurer, he has very good navigation and survival skills.
Weaknesses
- Technological Ineptitude: Due to being so far out of his time period during Shoten Showdown, he has trouble keeping up both in and out of battle. This is somewhat remedied by the end of the story.
