Vultro the Fennec is an anthropomorphic fennec fox that debuted in the Roleplay Planet Elilaela. He is also the fursona of er1c1996.
Physical Appearance
Vultro resembles a fennec fox (Vulpes zerda), and as such has the trademark large ears of the species. His body fur is a light beige color, and the tuft of fur on his head as well as the patch of fur on his chest are white. He sports white gloves and a grey pair of Converse sneakers.
Vultro is very lean; at barely over a foot tall and weighing in at 5lbs, his friends and enemies tower over him. However, his size is to his advantage: he can run at incredible speeds and can access areas not normally reachable by other animals.
Personality
Vultro is a very adventurous character. He is the one that convinces nine of his friends to go on an adventure through space with him. However, he is also very brash. He usually does not think of the consequences of his actions, which is the main reason why something always seems to go wrong in his presence. Though not the most outgoing person, he converses with close friends often, and always speaks his mind. Out of all of his friends, he is considered to be the "leader" of the group.
History
Vultro has a very mysterious past. Whether he does not prefer to reveal his origins or simply does not know them, his childhood is not very well known. It is known that he was born somewhere on Mobius, and he claims that he is 16 years old; though there is no actual proof that this is true. Though he remembers his parents, both were killed sometime when Vultro was a baby. His father was an adventurer like he was, and Vultro claims that half the reason he explores is "to make my dad proud."
During his early teen years, he would often visit Green Hill Zone, looking up to Sonic the Hedgehog as a role model. The zone had long been cleared of the Badniks that once thrived there, and instead the lush green plains were a perfect place to train. In his frequent visits, he met some of his closest friends, most of which he stays in contact with.
After feeling ready to embark on a "real" adventure, Vultro convinced nine of his friends to ride a new spaceship that he built himself. Though most were reluctant to ride in his makeshift spacecraft, they came along anyway. The events that followed has been documented in a roleplay. Even after returning home safely, Vultro continued to go on more adventures, and plans to go on many more throughout his lifetime.
Relationships
- RavenCool the Sol Grey Wolf: Both being adventurers, Vultro gets along with her well. He sometimes teasingly calls her "Puppy", which she hates. They met while on an adventure through Green Hill Zone and have since been close friends. She is the first one Vultro asks to go on the adventure leading up to Planet Elilaela, and she happily accepts.
- Wreck the Fox: Due to his violent nature, the two aren't the best of friends, and are more neutral towards each other. Vultro met Wreck sometime prior to the events of The Secret of Robots, after which he agrees to travel with Wreck and his friends to fight a new uprising of Eggman's robots, which started acting suspiciously.
Abilities
Since a young age, Vultro has been honing his running skills. He is the fastest out of all his friends, and his small size allows him to jump high and climb walls with ease.
Along with his running and jumping skills, he can distract his enemies with his extreme agility, running circles around them until they are dizzy enough that he can take them down with ease. He dubs this attack the "Whirl and Hurl."
Using the power of the Shoten crystal, a mysterious stone found on Elilaela, Vultro can assume a more powerful form. Comparable to the Chaos Emeralds' Super form, Vultro gains a massive boost in speed, jump height, and strength. His fur turns a brilliant violet-white, and his chest fur glows a platinum color. His whirlwind attack now traps the enemy in a vaccum, effectively suffocating them. He can also float above the ground, gaining the height that he was previously lacking. He and his friends call this form his Fighting Form.
Weaknesses
Like many of his kind, his main weakness is enemies of a similar size. Since his attacks are based on taking down large enemies, smaller enemies can sometimes overcome his agility and cause him harm. He is also incabable of swimming, and will drown if he spends too long underwater.
