Harvey was born and raised in Leicester, England. His father, Simon Kingsley, is the head of an international criminal organization called the Council, and his mother, Elaine Elton-Kingsley, is a famous archaeologist. As a boy, he was a huge fan of actor Tobey Maguire, and kept a photo of him at the Grand Canyon on his wall. He delivered pizzas as a teenager to help pay for his college education.
Leicester Spider
When the Inheritors were on the verge of massacring every Spider-person in the multiverse, members of the Spider-Army searched alternate realities to take all the spiders away from the Inheritors' reach, instead hiding them in other universes. When the plan was set in motion, Billy Braddock recruited several of his fellow heroes to assist him.
One of the realities chosen happened to be the home of Kingsley-Elton. In the year 2021, Braddock plants a genetically modified spider in a prop hat Kingsley-Elton was using in the production of his new film The Charge of the Light Brigade. The spider bites him, giving him spider powers.
Though super-powers exist in this reality, none yet had the powers of a spider. He ends up earning the nickname Leicester Spider, though the names Spider-Man and Spider-UK were also used. Harvey's costume is similar to that of Spider-Man, except his red sections are orange, and his blue sections are purple.
He would eventually join the Avengers (Earth-72696), fighting crime for the next two years, until Braddock's actions are undone and all of the spiders returned to their original realities.
Powers & Abilities
Harvey's powers are identical to those of his American counterpart, but with a focus on speed rather than strength or the ability to shoot organic webbing.
